Matthew Henry Psalm 40 commentary

 

I know this is different from what I usually (adding something other than scripture) do but I still want to place this here.

There are times when I don't understand a piece of scripture. When that happens I like to find commentaries to help me understand. I prefer to go back in history for those so that I can see how others felt about it. You know, people from before our time. I like to go back to different periods to ensure that what we understand now hasn't been corrupted.
